Get to Know Us
Off Grid Health & Fitness, LLC was founded by Janelle and Reyes Garza in August 2023. We are re-branding to Off Grid Health, Fitness, & Outdoors in 2025!
Janelle and Reyes are parents to two boys (born 2004 and 2007) and one girl (born 2011). Janelle has been an environmental scientist since 2013 and Reyes was the YMCA aquatics director from 2014-2023 and now works for a malt processing plant.
Although our business is a side job right now, we hope to transition this to our full-time career in the years to come, licensed as an outfitter with a property and equipment.
Janelle
Janelle has been passionate about health, fitness, and outdoor recreation her entire life and competes in Spartan races with aspirations of becoming elite level. Janelle is a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) certified nutrition coach and virtual coach, as well as personal and group trainer. Janelle attended Bridger Institute in Whitefish, MT for self-reliance specialist, horse and mule packing, and hunt guiding in the summer of 2024. Janelle hopes to provide coaching and training to both beginners and athletes looking to improve performance.
Reyes
Reyes has been an American Red Cross instructor since 2014 and has certified hundreds of people in adult and child first aid, CPR/AED, and lifeguarding. Reyes also attended Bridger Institute in Whitefish, MT for wilderness first aid and survival, camp cook, and hunt guiding in summer 2024. Reyes hopes to guide fishing trips and big game hunts.
Mission
To prepare individuals to respond confidently in emergencies, support them in achieving their health and fitness goals, and encourage a deeper connection with nature through outdoor experiences.

To build a safer, healthier, and more adventurous world by equipping people with the skills, knowledge, and experiences to thrive.
